This is a portrait I painted of my stepdaughter for a very big Portrait prize in Australia The Moran Portrait Prize which was selected and will be hung on Tue. 13th March 2007 there were over 500 entries and only 30 get selected.
Daily DeviationGiven 2007-03-08Perceptions of a Teenager by ~graemeb is brilliant for several reasons. One that is very important is he successfully portrays the delicate relationship with the stepdaughter who is a teenager with all the tension and hurt in that relationship but also deep love and care. He creates beautiful contemporary peace, by not only carefully crafting the figure but also the words of thoughts written in background. (Suggested by `sbaraci and Featured by $spinegrinder) |
