Graphite on Paper 550mm x 430mm
These things are my passion, I just love to draw them they are bassed on the big Fig trees in the Sydney botanical gardens.
This is based on a Curtain Fig which drops roots down from it's branches till they form a type of curtain all along the branch and they become huge.

Absolutely beautifull work... i cant do pencil for life of me and this has amazing textures and detail. The depth perception and volume is hard to pull off with this kind of image and you do it beautifully. I love the reflection in water, but most of all how the branches and roots intertwine. Must had taken you quite some intraspection and dreaming to be able to come up with this. Well done!

It's a progression you draw some simple think which leeds to something else then after about twenty more drawings you get to this. I think drawing is my strong point I realy feel at ease with it.

I think I can see him, the stairs are one of his arms coming across his lap. It's funny how easy I can still read your writing when there is no spaces.
