It gives me the feeling of being lost in memories of being young and free, earth and leaves between toes, running with the wind...and then there is now, the wallpaper, daily drudge for survival. The way a woman should be, the expectations and limits put upon her. Womanhood with the little girl inside.

You pretty much got it right there, she is old now and is remembering when she had the good life and took what she wanted but the image is fading, decaying away and she is letting go of it.
